Sa Pa•gi•tan

Sa Pa•gi•tan

A Filipino phrase that means to be in-between. This in-betweenness can encompass identity, culture, geography, and more. This zine was inspired by a decolonial project for a Women and Gender Studies course at the University of Toronto.

This is a healing space where people from all over the world can express themselves through writing, art, and more.

Sa Pagitan is the official sister community of Ihayag Canada.

We want to create a creative space for artists, writers, and the like to explore their Filipino/a/x identities through the healing medium of art -- whether it is poetry, prose, photography or illustration.

We are looking for passionate writers who are committed to uplifting the narratives of our Filipino/a/x community and who enjoy sharing their ideas about heritage, culture, immigration, healing, and more with others!

We are accepting writers from our Filipino/a/x community from different parts of the globe! We welcome all writers of various writing levels to join!
